President John Adams

Michael J. Ernst as John AdamsJohn Adams, the second President of the United States, said, "The general principle on which the Fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity."

In this most requested piece entitled "America: Did You Know?," Adams boldly makes known that the United States of America, from its conception, was founded on Christian principles and such principles were intended to guide our everyday behavior.

Despite being disliked, John Adams was one of the most vocal and effective pursuers of our Independence. With words from Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, James Madison, etc., he spells out the case that the providential history of this land must be learned and spoken.

With two proposals for everyone to acknowledge, the very dramatic Christian/patriotic message is clear - America's history is founded in God!

John the Apostle

Originally Jesus chose twelve, but now only John remains. After 1500 days imprisoned on the Isle of Patmos the "last apostle" prepares to leave for his final journey.

 Isle of Patmos

In this piece called "John: The Last Apostle," John recalls: his initial meeting with Jesus; his call for discipleship; his transformation from selfishness, ambition and temperament. John suggests that the call on his life has been a generic footprint for all to follow in order to attain His kingdom. Perhaps it has been more than a book, but rather a lifetime of "revelation.

His final plea to "read me," all of John's own writings, lines up God's love with our repentance and our eventual eternal salvation.

William Bradford

 First Thanksgiving First Thanksgiving

They were nomads on a divine pilgrimage. At age 59, reading from his completed OF PLYMOUTH PLANTATION, William Bradford, 'ye Governor of ye Colony' retraces the Pilgrims journey in this piece called "The First Thanksgiving." The flight from England due to the intolerance of the national church, the safe but only temporary haven in the Netherlands, the hardship of the ocean crossing, the despair and misery of that first horrible winter - all were barriers to the Pilgrim's religious freedom, to their liberty and to their very survival.

But their reliance on God in their lack and their thankfulness to Him for their abundance allowed them to overcome. In this piece, called "Of Plymouth Plantation," for adults and teens the Thanksgiving message abounds, ". . . they set apart a solemn day of humiliation, to seek the Lord by humble and fervent prayer . . . And He was pleased to give them a gracious and speedy answer."

- Scripture References: Deuteronomy 28:11 & Colossians 3:15

Charles Carroll

The last surviving signer of the Declaration of Independence, Charles Carroll had an unusual perspective on the birth of the United States of America. In "Charles Carroll, the Last One Standing," you will learn about this obscure Founding Father from Maryland. His personal story, including religious persecution, Congressional appointments, extreme wealth and notable danger, reveals a unique view of what the Founding Fathers intended for America.

Michael J. Ernst as Charles Carroll

 Charles Carroll

From his participation in the Declaration of Independence to the Constitution to the Bill of Rights, it is clear our arrival at Godly governing documents was due to the Christian nation nearly all of the Founding Fathers proposed.

The thrust of this piece is straightforward; our Founders saw Christian freedoms and liberties as precious. Whether they will be rewritten by a secular world ignoring the very God who inspired them is the fear Charles Carroll puts before us.

Those who have enjoyed John Adams in America: Did You Know? I feel certain will again be moved by the words of yet another Christian Founder. And I am certainly open to a program including Charles Carroll, the Last One Standing and America: Did You Know?

- Scripture References: Colossians 2:8, Mark 3:24-25 & Psalm 33:12
